Pet Costume Photoshop Project - Lily Costume (Human Version)

CLICK THE IMAGE BELOW TO ENLARGE IT.
Lily Costume (Human Version)
Base Costume Used: Wild Girl
Additional Costumes Used: White Bodice for arms and legs, Maid for bow on back and in hair, Traditional Orchid for body (recolored and styled to match), Fairy Horns.
Comments: For the human's version, I wanted it to look more like the Evo2 Lily rather than sticking with the Evo3 like with Sylph and Shura. To do this, I had the challenge of creating her dress which I did by taking the Traditional Orchid and completely recoloring it to match the Wild Girl gloves and boots, and also hand "painting" the tiger stripes. I once again decided to use the Shura's Maid bow for the back because it is by far the biggest of the bows and looks best for a Lily reproduction. I toyed around with using the "sleeves" of the Playful Bunny costume to make this one seem more true to the original Evo2, but decided to stick with keeping the original Wild Girl gloves instead.

Item Preview - Barber Shop Tickets

New item mall items were added today called "Ticket to Hair-Style Change" or as I am calling Barber Shop Tickets (since the actual name sounds like a bad translation and Barber Shop Tickets sound cooler). I'm going to explain what exactly these items do and give you all previews of what they look like.

The Barber Shop Tickets are located in the Cosmetics and Fireworks section of the in-game item mall. They are currently sold in 7-day and 30-day versions and are basically a transformation box for your hair. No joke. When used they transform your hair into a different hairstyle for up to 5 hours. They do stack with the racial transformations, and unlike the racial transformations, you CAN change jobs while your hair is "transformed".

Currently there are 9 different hairstyles to choose from - the 6 starter hairstyles available in the character creator, plus 3 more new hairstyles (which I will post screenshots below of those - they are different for both genders). If you'd like to look at screenshots of the starter hairstyles, please visit my Faces and Hairstyles page. The starter hairstyles are labeled as "basic" and the 3 new hairstyles are labeled as "special".

When used, the item does stay in your inventory (it really is just like a racial transformation box for your hair), and it is not tradeable after you use it once because the timer starts up. You can right click the buff it gives you to get rid of it (just like you can with racial transformations). You must remove the buff before trying to use a different Barber Shop Ticket.

The hairstyles seem to be the same across all races, but do differ by genders, so I had my bff Knives help me out with the male version screenshots.

Pet Costume Photoshop Project - Lily Costume (Sylph Version)

CLICK THE IMAGE BELOW TO ENLARGE IT.
Lily Costume (Sylph Version)
Base Costume Used: Wild Girl
Additional Costumes Used: Black Bodice for the arm part of the gloves and stockings, Maid for the bow on the back (recolored red - Shura version), and bows on the headdress, Traditional Orchid for the top (recolored and styled to match the rest of the outfit), Nicole's Horns.
Comments: For this one I wanted to stick as close to the original Evo3 Lily as possible. The top was the most challenging part because there really isn't a costume with an exact match to the Evo3 Lily's top. I chose to go with the Orchid top, and adding the stripes was quite the challenge, but I'm pleased with the end result. I also had to use the Shura Maid's bow for this as well because the Sylph Maid's bow was too small.

Pepsimancer's version of the Sylph Lily Costume can be found here.

Pet Costume Photoshop Project - Lily Costume (Shura Version)

Lily Costume (Shura Version)
Base Costume Used: Wild Girl
Additional Costumes Used: Black Bodice used for the arm part of the gloves and stockings, Maid used the bow on the back (recolored red) and the bows on the headdress, Nicole's Horns.
Comments: I wanted the Shura version of my Lily costume to be more "sexy" looking than the original pet itself (holding true to form for all other Shura outfits).

Pet Costume Photoshop Project - Introduction

With the conclusion of the Costume Alteration Contest, it has left me wanting to do more fun Photoshop alterations. I've decided to start another project just for fun and I thought I'd share my creations with my readers. For this project I will be creating pet-themed costumes by compiling existing costumes using Photoshop. My plan is to eventually have each of the 6 main pets represented (original for now) - Ruby, Sapphire, Metal, Rock, Jade, and of course Lily.

Props n credit n such goes to Pepsimancer for inspiring this idea with her Lily submission, as well as Miradora/Lanniang for her costume screenshots.

I'll be posting these as I make them. Each pet costume will consist of each of the 4 races and both genders (except Lily/Jade which will be female/male only respectively). Once I'm finished with all of the original versions, I may consider working on the SE versions as well.

Hope you guys enjoy these as much as I enjoy making them!

Hair Dye Avatar Preview

Click the image to enlarge it.

Sorry it's a little on the plain side. The purpose of this chart is to show what the hair dye looks like in the avatar window (whereas Mrs. Magic-Eye and the in-game Item Mall previews only show what it looks like on your character - which varies greatly depending on the time of day in game). Keep in mind that different hair styles may somewhat alter the shade a little, but for the most part this is what you should expect to see when you dye your character's hair.

I'd like to give a big thank you to everyone who contributed screenshots of their character's avatar, and an especially big thank you to Knives for buying me a few of the dyes I needed.

Skin Tones Comparison

I thought I'd show a side-by-side comparison of all 6 skin tones for anyone interested. I used female shura as my model, and only grabbed screenshots of the avatar this time. Note that this is just a general look at how the different skin tones will look on your avatar, and it may be slightly different depending on your chosen race. Expect sylphs to be much more pale than the other races.

Click the picture to make it bigger.

I may eventually do a hair dye one (once OB starts and there's an item mall) depending on how expensive the hair dyes are.

More DOMO Signatures

I made these a while back and neglected to post them when I did, so I figured I'd share them now. They're not very good (part of the reason I was hesitant to even post them), and was just something I threw together one day when I was bored. I made a signature for each of the classes - taking the class screenshots from the wiki (this was before they released the fan kit) and made backgrounds I thought fit with each class. I used to also have a little blurb thing about each class - what weapon/armor it used and a stupid short saying describing each...but it was really lame...so I deleted that part lol. They're a little plain now because I took that off, but they at least look a bit less stupid.

If you want me to alter any of them to add things like character name or whatever, send me a PM on the DOMO forums (my forum name is Kirbychu) and let me know which one you want and what you want on there and I'll do it for you.

Hope you enjoy these, if not I don't really care because I know they are terrible lol. By the way, these should all work on the Suba forums. Click the pictures to enlarge them (and to save).

DOMO Signature

I recently made a signature for the DOMO forums, realizing only afterwards that I had made it too big. I will be re-doing the signature itself at some point, but I thought I'd share the original here. I do plan on taking signature requests once the game is live - I will be posting requirements for such when the game is actually released.

Here is the first draft of my signature - the final one will be smaller, since Suba Games has a very restricting maximum image size for signatures. I had all the character info be "unavailable" because the game is technically not out yet - I thought it was clever. As soon as the game is released I would change it to include things like character name, guild name, server name, main class levels, etc. and also include the portrait of my character in the corner.
I took several area screenshots using puush to make this signature. I put it together using Photoshop CS5. I have screenshots of all of those weapon icons - they are interchangeable in the design to whatever your main jobs are. Unfortunately, shrinking this signature may require me to have to put less jobs on there as well as get rid of that nifty shadow effect of the signature.

EDIT: 02/13/2015

I have made a smaller version of the signature. This is actually the 2nd small version of this signature I have made, but after reviewing the requirements Suba has on its signature pictures, I was able to tweak it a little. Basically the only difference is the picture itself is slightly larger - allowing me to re-add the shadow effect.
If you would like a forum signature like this, please send me the following:
  • An in-game screenshot of your character's status window (or just a screenshot with it open)
  • A list of up to 6 of your main jobs (preferably in a ranking order)
  • Your server's name (if there is more than one)
  • Your guild's name (if applicable)
  • Anything you want in particular put on either the top or bottom text boxes (please be appropriate)
You can send me a message on here or on the DOMO forums (username Kirbychu). I can also take requests for the larger version if you plan to use it on another forum (since it is too large for Suba's).
