News Update about DOMO News Updates

I'm not doing them anymore. I'm entirely too lazy, no one reads them first here, and it's altogether a waste of my time (and yours if you read it) since all the info is located on Suba DOMO's Facebook page (and forums, and sometimes the website and the wiki). So if you would like some DOMO News Updates, go follow them on Facebook and stick their stuff in your news feed like the rest of us DOMO addicts.

Love Always,
Kirbychu (your resident DOMO addict)

DOMO News Update - 3/21/15

Open Beta has kicked off this past Friday! Aside from a profanity filter that has a very strange definition of what constitutes profanity, and a chat box that eats the right side of your sentences, this Open Beta has - so far - gone off without many issues at all. The GM's have done a great job staying in touch with the community during the first few hours of launch to help point people in the right direction for getting their Closed Beta rewards. Big thank you to the GM's for making this a very smooth Open Beta launch!

The item mall has also launched with the Open Beta (though not the web mall yet), and has led to some complaints by players over the prices. Reskills/restats, pet tokens, wedding rings, hair dyes, upgrade books - all seem to be priced dramatically higher than necessary. There is an official item mall prices feedback thread made by Pepsimancer located here. There also seems to be no permanent costumes available yet, but the GM's have confirmed that there will indeed be permanent costumes available at a later date.

Only a little over 24 hours after launch we already have a few couples married, almost 20 guilds made, and hundreds of metal eggs in circulation! Big thanks to Suba Games again for bringing this game back!

DOMO Closed Beta Extended - Open Beta Delayed

The Open Beta release for DOMO has been delayed to allow time for a game-breaking glitch to be addressed. Closed Beta has been extended for an as yet undetermined amount of time until this issue is fixed.

The official announcement made by GMZenDragoon can be found here:

While I am as anxious as the rest of you to play DOMO (where it wont be wiped), I am glad they are taking this glitch seriously. If this glitch was allowed to continue into Open Beta, it would ruin the game, the economy, and the community as a result.

The aforementioned glitch, for those who don't already know, allows the exploiter to have infinite guild fame, personal fame, and gold (as well as any other rewards obtained from either Eversun or Darkdale Elders). As you can imagine, for a person (and by extension, guild) to have this glitch to exploit at will, would absolutely kill this game right at the beginning. I wont go into details in how to replicate the bug, as we have enough people exploiting it already.

The Suba Games staff and the developers over at Softstar are working diligently to make sure this issue is resolved so that we can transition smoothly into Open Beta as quickly as possible. Stay tuned for more news and the official Open Beta release date (once it's announced)!

DOMO News Update - 2/2/15 - Official Release Date Announced!

DOMO's official Closed Beta Release Date has been announced today!

Sites like MMOSite.com are going to be giving out beta keys so be sure to grab one as soon as they're available so you don't miss your chance at the Closed Beta! I'm sure this means Open Beta is just around the corner, so even if you miss out, you wont have long to wait!

Keep in mind though, that Closed Betas are meant for testing for bugs and glitches - as well as server strain. Yes having as much people as possible is good for these kinds of tests, but what many people don't realize is that it isn't a "demo version" of the game for you to try it out and see if you like it. It is meant as a vital testing tool and many "beta testers" don't actually beta test to be honest. Enjoy your time there of course, but also be on the look out for things like bugs or glitches or even translation errors - and be sure to report them! We want DOMO to stay amazing and maybe be even better than it was before, and for that to happen we need everyone who gets chosen as a tester (or rather is quick enough to grab a key) to pull their weight and contribute.

DOMO News Update - 1/17/15

As of today, here is what is going on with the rebirth of DOMO (in no particular order):
  • Suba Games announced on December 10th, 2014 that the Closed Beta would start within 60 days. So less than a month away now.
  • A forum screenshot contest has concluded and the winners were announced on Facebook on January 15th, 2015. The winners are to receive a pet token and pet name tag upon the launch of the game, and all participants are to receive consolation prizes in the form of fireworks and lilliput/giant pills.
  • Forum Moderators were chosen - Pepsimancer and GraceySells.
  • DOMO was selected for Steam Greenlight - which means it will be available on Steam at launch. This will definitely get more butts in the game.
That's it for now, will be posting more news as it comes. Stay tuned.
