Old Leveling Guide

Leveling Guide

This is my Old Leveling Guide. To see my new Leveling Guide, please click here.

Below is a leveling guide from 1-50. I have included both solo and party suggestions. Please note that Duo/Trio doesn't mean my suggestions wont work for a 4-person or 5-person party. I do strongly suggest forming an AoE party if at all possible though, because it really is the fastest and funnest way to level in DOMO. Enjoy the guide!

Levels 1-10

1-7: This part is simple – just do the tutorial like a boss. What I mean by this is, instead of only killing 5 of each pupu (which is the minimum), kill 24 of each (which is the maximum). After you kill 24 pupus (of each type) they will stop spawning, you then go turn in all 24 of the drops you just got for maximum exp (you get exp for each item you turn in). So not only are you getting the exp for killing 48 mobs, you're also getting the bonus exp for the extra items you're turning in – score! If you do this, you will be level 6 or 7 by the time you leave the tutorial.
7-8: This is the easiest level. When you leave the summoning pool (where you go after you leave the tutorial) there is an NPC with a few quests. Grab and do the Eversun Guided Tour quest. Basically you just run around and talk to NPC's. You can also get a weapon for doing this quest, if you didn't though (or if you get the bow) you can go buy a better weapon from the male sprite NPC in the summoning pool. I recommend the saber (though it is technically a sword) as it attacks fast and has good damage. You can also do the Finding Cats and Dogs quest which is given by an NPC next to Mrs. Magic Eye. It's a little tedious, but gives great exp.
8-10: If you have money, I suggest buying 5 hemp rope and getting your entrance quest to enter the Maze Below the Well done (kill Globs down there if you do). If not, you can farm hemp rope from Baby Bow-Wows in either Eversun North or Eversun South. These mobs are level 7 so are decent exp, and they also drop hemp rope so you can farm them without having to buy them. If you like doing quests, you can also do the other quests the NPC outside the summoning pool has (if you turn in 100 of each of those items you get a title).

Congratz you're level 10! Now you can start unlocking jobs! Once you've unlocked the job(s) you want to do, you can start leveling them. Note that all jobs start at level 10.

Levels 10-15

For these levels there are a few things you can do:
  • Go to Swan Lake Basin (enter from Eversun South) and grab the quests that Sasha has - they are repeatable. Repeat the Lil' Dairy Pu and Pure White Pupu quests until about 14, then grab the Dairy Pu Mama quest and repeat that until 15 or 16 (you can do the Dairy Pu Dada quest at around then if you wish to finish the questline and get your title which gives +110 HP).
  • Gain access to the Maze Below the Well if you haven't already (directionshere), and go kill Golden Globs. You can stay on these until 15, but the exp will slow down at around 14.
  • Do the first few Mirror Quests (your main story quests) and gain access to the Town Hall Basement. This is a good place to level, and is usually less crowded than the Well. You can kill Zombies and Grape Globs down here for great exp (the Grape Globs are even good to form a little AoE party at!).
Yay you're ready to start AoE parties! For more info on AoE parties, see my Guide to AoE Parties. You can also learn to fly! Go do that!

Levels 15-20

Solo/Duo/Trio: Head over to Placid Plain and grab the first quest that Raymond gives. Kill 30 Toxic Tiger Moths to complete this quest, repeat until 20.
Party: Casks! Form an AoE party (again, see my guide for info) and head down into the Inn Basement (you will need to do a quest to unlock it - the NPC is named Mysterious Elder and he is outside the Inn across from the Eversun Guide). At the very end of it are the Caskmasters. There are two really good spots for AoE parties here and a couple of okay spots. Try and get VIP or Platform if you can (be advised Platform has giant Cask boss that can spawn). If both spots are taken, just find a spot with a lot of them off to the sides and kill some while you wait for one of the other spots to open up. This is a lot of people's first experience with AoE parties in the game, and it does not disappoint!

Congratz on 20! You can go do your Level 20 Life Quest now and get a free spring that gives 5 skill points!

Levels 20-25

Solo/Duo/Trio: Stay in Placid Plain and start on the 2nd or 3rd quests Raymond gives (or keep doing moths) - repeat until insane. If/when Bigbeam is released, I recommend going there and starting on the Giant Man-Eating Marigolds. Exp there is really good because the mobs have a LOT of HP. They also hit hard, so be sure to take Doc subs or a Nurse if you are soloing.
Party: MboPs! AoE parties will want to head over to Phoenix Tower (located in Swan Lake Basin) and go up to the third floor and find the circular room with nothing but Male Birds of Paradise (MboPs). This room can be shared with two parties (each party pulling half the room), but if you get the whole room to yourself all the better. A party can also be in the hallway. You can stay here till 28 if you want, but after that the exp gets really slow.

Levels 25-30

Solo/Duo/Trio: Giantwood Forest is the safest place to level - do any repeatable quests there (note that you don't get exp from the quests themselves until 26). You can also head to Neptune's Temple and kill Crimson Globs, or if Bigbeam is in you can start on Mushroom Fiends (again these mobs hit hard so take Doc subs or a Nurse if soloing).
Party: Nept! AoE parties go to Neptune's Temple and head to Man-Eating Zombies. There is a room with only zombies in it (this is vip) which if you can get, is awesome because it basically pulls itself. If vip is taken, just outside vip there are zombies and turtles (be careful as turtles have AoE and do magic damage). Exp here slows down a bit at 30, but you can stay until 33.

Yay another Life Quest! More skill points!

Levels 30-35

Solo/Duo/Trio: Grassgreen Square is the safest place - do any repeatable quests there. If Bigbeam is in, start on the Fiendish Florences.
Party: Grizz! AoE parties go to Grizzly Garrison and kill the Bandit Thugs and Bandit Chefs. Down in the basement (you will need entrance quest to get in there) there are two hallways that are known as vip (the right side is technically vip, but the left is not bad). Exp here slows down at 35, but you can stay until like 37.

Levels 35-40

Solo/Duo/Trio: Blakatoa is the safest place to level - do the quests here as it unlocks Foggy Forest.
Party: Grotto! AoE parties head to Pandora's Grotto and kill Fugitives. There is a room with nothing but Fugitives (Fugis) this is vip – get this room if you can. If not, you can do the room with Fugitives and spiders (Spugi), pure spiders, or wolves and fugis (normally just called Wolves). Wolves are higher level than fugis, so I recommend avoiding those unless you have a really good tank and doc. Exp really slows down at 39, but you should stick it out until 40.

Yay another Life Quest...wait no not yay...this one sucks. It is really long and hard to solo unless you have a high level pet. Once you do it though you'll have more skill points and be done with Life Quests forever on that job.

Levels 40-50

Solo/Duo/Trio: For 40-45 head to East Sea Plain, for 45-50 I would do Canute Canal 2 or Blakatoa Peak. By this time I really recommend having a Nurse Sara (or really high level Doc subs) if you're an avid soloer, as mobs tend to get really hard to kill alone.
Party: Foggy! AoE parties head to Foggy Forest at 40 and stay there until 50. You will be killing hedgehogs (bit far into the dungeon, and you will need to have completed theBlakatoa quests to get in to that area or have someone let you in). Exp slows down at 49, but stick it out until 50.

This pretty much ends the party portion of the guide. From here on out you will be either soloing with a Nurse/Doc subs, or duoing/trioing with friends. People have tried doing AoE parties in Dragon's Den at 50, but unless your tank has robes on and you have a doc who likes adventure, this usually doesn't work too well. Kill Flying Noisy Snakes (FNS) in DDen until you can't see straight, then do it some more. I figure from here you know enough of the game to find your way around and explore the other zones. Check out Sneaky Peak, Town-God Temple, Mount Babel, Hell if it's in, and figure out where you wanna go.
