Stat Build Guide

I decided to put together a stat build guide on here to help out people looking for what to put where on their jobs. Obviously since this is DOMO, you can do literally whatever you want. Accidentally putting one point into wisdom on your Mercenary isn't going to ruin you as a tank forever (and most definitely isn't worth spending a bunch of money on an expensive restat) but it's still nice to know what kinds of builds are commonly used by players. Now my PvP experience is very limited in DOMO because I personally hate PvP in all games and avoid it like the plague, so if you have a PvP build that you use for a certain class, please leave it in the comments for people interested in PvP to use. Also, yes I know there are stat builds listed on the DOMO Wiki, but I thought it would be nice to have them all in one place rather than having to look up each individual class to find out its build.

The 28 Dex Build

While I personally do not use the 28 Dex, etc. builds, there are a lot of people who swear by them. Basically 28 Dex just means (presumably) that your magical accuracy and critical hit rate are both at a decent enough level for your skills to miss less and deal a decent amount of critical hits. If you are soloing, Dex builds become much more noticeable and necessary (if you don't like missing a lot), but if you are planning on mainly partying, Dex is not required because the Musician will buff your magical accuracy so more Dex is just moot (not to mention wasting valuable stat points that could be put into upping your damage or lowering your cooldowns). Pretty much any build I have on the flowchart can have a 28 Dex version of it, with the exception of the Tank builds. Party Tanks should NEVER be putting any stat points into anything other than Dura and Agi.

Pure Agility Builds

When you use a "Pure Agility" build, this actually only means "Pure Agility Until a Certain Point". Generally people stop putting points into Agility once they reach 103 (or 102 on some jobs) because that is the cap for the cooldown reduction bonus from Agility. Once you reach 103 (or 102) Agility on a "Pure Agility" build, you would then start adding points into either Power or Wisdom most likely depending on your job.

Reading the Flow Chart

I would hope that reading this is pretty self-explanatory, but basically you just follow the arrows and answer the question that each arrow leads to. A lot of the questions are the same for different classes/roles, so when that happens, in an attempt to save space, I combined them. All you have to do at that point is follow the corresponding colored arrows that pertain to your chosen class/role. I hope my flow chart is easy to understand, but if it's not, please don't be afraid to tell me. I threw it in a flow chart because honestly the builds are pretty similar from class to class no matter what you're doing. It just seemed easier than just going through each individual class and writing out builds for each. Again, this is a guideline to put you on the right (if there is a "right") path when statting your character. You really can use any build you want, and the 28 Dex build can be utilized with any of the builds on the flowchart if you so choose.

PvP Builds (by a Non-PvPer)

From what I've seen, PvP builds tend to be the same or at least similar to solo builds. I have seen the 28 Dex (or even more Dex) builds a lot more with PvPers because you want your skills to actually hit your opponent. Agility is also great to have for shorter cooldowns (cooldown reduction cap is at 102 or 103 for most jobs), and of course, you will probably want either Power or Wisdom depending on if you're a physical or magic class. With how expensive the restats are in this game, switching between PvP and PvE isn't really a viable option, so if you're planning on PvPing at all (in a serious way and not just playing around with friends or guildmates), I would recommend either making a new character just for PvP or setting aside one or two jobs just for PvP.

Stat Builds by Class Type - Without the Flow Chart

Physical Attack Classes (includes Blademaster, Dancer (without Different Dances), Hunter, Martial Artist, Mercenary (solo only), and Thief)

Pure Power - highest attack, low evasion.
2 Power 1 Agi - high attack, slightly higher evasion
2 Agi 1 Power - moderate attack, higher evasion
Pure Agi - highest evasion, low attack
Phys builds - recommended for Martial Artist only (substitute Phys for either Power or Agi in any of the above builds).

Magical Attack Classes (includes Dancer (with Different Dances), Doctor, Fencer, Musician, Shaman, Witch Doctor, and Wizard)

Pure Wis - highest magic attack, low cooldowns.
2 Wis 1 Agi - high magic attack, slightly faster cooldowns.
2 Agi 1Wis - moderate magic attack, faster cooldowns.
Pure Agi - fastest cooldowns, low magic attack.

Tank Builds

2 Dura 1 Agi - more defense than evasion.
2 Agi 1 Dura - more evasion than defense (saves on armor).

  1. Flowcharts are a easy method for decision making. Its a process based diagram type. Some good flowchart examples and templates and be found in Creately diagram community.
